Something for everyone at Bemurrah Homestead

Fishing, canoeing, swimming, bushwalking, bird watching or just sit and admire the views. It's your choice.

You can just take time to unwind, put your feet up and enjoy the views. Maybe relax by the majestic Macleay River with a good book

Have a swim in the crystal clear waters, try your hand at fishing or bring your canoe and go exploring the rest of the Macleay river.

If you want some gentle exercise you could go bushwalking and try to spot some native wildlife including wallabies or our abundant birdlife.

Bemurrah is still part of a working cattle station so in spring you will enjoy seeing new baby calves running around playing with their mums.

Go for a drive to one of the fabulous national parks that surround us or grab your board and head to the coast.

"Bemurrah was fantastic. The house is very comfortable and well appointed and decorated, the setting beautiful overlooking the river with mountains in the background. A very peaceful and beautiful place. Great place to unwind with friends or family." Curtis, SA.

"Bemurrah Homestead is a wonderful and relaxing place to enjoy a break away. From our initial contact with the owners, everything ran smoothly and all requests from us for our needs to be met were attempted by David & Carolyn. The owners then allowed us complete privacy once there."

"Our families enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the tranquillity and beautiful scenery, and the ability to get together with all our young children under one roof. The accommodation is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious and the house is well equipped. The room configuration was also wonderful, as we could put the children to bed at one end and stay up together for adult time without disturbing them."

"There are lots of places for the children to run and play, they can observe the native wildlife from the Homestead, (we had wallabies with joeys in their pouches come into the house yard on sunset - the children were very excited) and the house yard is well fenced to allow the kids to play with parents being able to relax and catch up. The children also enjoyed running through the paddocks and exploring along the river's edge when we went for "adventures". We are definitely planning to return for further breaks.
